Hudson Malone - Westport Village

Overall OK. Nothing special besides the atmosphere. For the most part service was great, we enjoyed our server. The rest of the waitstaff were practically running around the restaurant- was bumped multiple times and had plates passing by at head level within inches. Did not feel rushed but the service was oriented toward turning tables. Not the kind of place where the service needs to be that rushed, almost impeding on the overall experience. Food was good, but again nothing special. The burger with bacon was over saturated and the bacon was very fatty. The filet was cooked to temp, but lacked flavor. I think the cocktails were good, but the sazerac needs to be revisited, was way too sweet. Wouldn't come back again given the other options in the area.

If the food received matched the quality of the atmosphere, service, or drinks, this place would be unbeatable. Unfortunately, both of our dishes were fairly mediocre, which was disappointing based on the price of everything. Maybe it was an off night? Either way, the atmosphere is easily 5 stars (it does get crowded and a bit loud, but if it were empty and quiet, I think that would speak to a different problem). Overall, I think it's worth giving a try, and hopefully, your food is more satisfying we found ours to be.Top notch on the drinks, though.Parking: The lot behind the restaurant is small and tight you're better parking across the street. Just beware the inattentive drivers when crossing back and forth, and definitely use the cross walk!

Excellent atmosphere and waiting staff! This made the experience a lot better. Just make sure to sit along the edges as we noticed many were uncomfortable with people and wait staff walking past you in tight spaces. Excellent wine list and steak selections. Will definitely come back.

Hospitality minded and it shows. Best stocked bar around ffld county. Keith behind the bar is an absolute pro. Subtle service and engages when appropriate and makes you feel seen and welcome. The owner was there too and made me feel like a regular. Will be back
