Angelo Elia Pizza Tapas - Weston

I attempted to place our dinner order before the appetizers arrived, only to be told that they don’t serve their Angelo burger on weekends, despite it being a regular menu item. It wasn’t until about 10 to 15 minutes after we finished our appetizers that I had to flag him down again to place our dinner order. When he finally approached us, he said he was indeed coming over to take our order. The restaurant wasn't busy, with several open tables, yet the waiter consistently prioritized an older couple seated next to us. They seemed to be regulars, with multiple servers stopping by to chat throughout their meal. While it's great to have regulars, it left us feeling neglected as we were trying to become regulars ourselves. We have dined at D’Angelo's in Aventura multiple times, and those experiences have been consistently exceptional in terms of both service and food quality. After spending over $250 for a party of three, we expected much better service than we received here. I had planned to host my son's birthday dinner at this location next month, but I would much rather return to Aventura for a superior dining experience. Overall, it was a very disappointing visit.

We had made an OpenTable reservation to celebrate a birthday, but it seemed that it was overlooked, as no special dessert or acknowledgment was provided as it had been in the past. I would encourage the restaurant to pay closer attention to customers' requests while making reservations. Overall, it was just an average experience, especially for a special occasion.

I started with a burrata and prosciutto appetizer, which was underwhelming. The burrata lacked creaminess and flavor, and the prosciutto was of subpar quality. However, I moved on to the frutti di mare pasta, which was delicious and offered great value. My wife enjoyed the lasagna as well, which she found tasty. The wine selection was excellent. I suppose it really depends on what you order. As an Italian, I might be a bit particular, but I would consider returning—just not for the burrata and prosciutto appetizer.

Great place for a drink and great Italian food. My husband and I split the chicken parm. The pecorino cheese is amazing for charcuterie

Quiet ambiance with friendly courteous staff. Food is excellent and the chef’s presentation outstanding.
