The French Goat is an amazing restaurant with excellent service and incredible food. Best French cuisine in the region!

My wife and I are from Savannah, GA which is considered by many as one of the food capitols of the south. We are used to great food and I’ll say that The French Goat can compete with any top restaurant in Savannah. I had the halibut special and she had the duck, and both dishes made us pause and close our eyes upon taking the first bite. My boyfriend I enjoyed this restaurant! I got the lamb which was really good! It was slightly over salted, but the meat fell right off the bone, overall it was good! My boyfriend wished he ordered the lamb instead of the steak. The steak was mediocre especially for being priced $50. We got the baked cheese for an appetizer which of course was like one bite each. Very small portions, but kind of expected. We ordered the cheesecake for dessert which was yum!

This lovely, unassuming restaurant in Lewisburg West Virginia was delightful. The wait staff was knowledgeable, friendly and highly professional. The food was delicious on every front. I enjoyed some oysters on the half shell, crab wrapped in compressed cantaloupe and for my main course I enjoyed a beautiful duck confit. Had dinner at The French Goat a week ago now and still can't seem to stop dreaming about it! A beautiful little restaurant, almost small enough to miss if you weren't looking for it, however, it would be a HUGE mistake to pass this up. Delicious food, top level service and hospitality to complete the perfect experience. I recommend the duck and the Basque Cheesecake: Do yourself a favor a make a reservation, now!
