Heart Of Gold Diner - West Virginia

Good food reasonably priced. The waitress is the same every-time. She works hard, you can tell. Inside feels nostalgic.

We really wanted to give a good rating and were hoping for a homecooked style diner meal, but food was mostly inedible. Fried mushrooms were hot, but no flavor (freezer burnt). Meatloaf had great flavor and tater tots were perfect, but chopped steak also had no flavor and was just grease, and we could not eat anything else as it was ice cold. After the long wait for food and waitress never checking in, we decided to cut our losses instead of attempting to send back food for a warm up.

We had breakfast here it was the most 'home cooked ' tasting meal I 've ever eaten at a restaurant. Biscuits n ' gravy are great! The service was excellent and the place was cute and cozy. Highly recommend!
