I booked a spot for 12 on a Tuesday night, upstairs when their Muldoon music was on, for my wife's birthday party. We loved the music, and they sang happy birthday for us when the cake was brought out. The staff were very accommodating in making reservations and preparations for the night. The food was excellent, they have great beers on tap and very good classic cocktails. Our server Tory was very friendly and attentive. I appreciated the care they put into making this evening fun! Will definitely be coming back a lot.

Seven guys (in their 40s) out for a rare night of debauchery. We were the only people upstairs on a Saturday night. The staff were good. The chef made a pile off crazy food off-menu. Dude can cook. We were not being cheap and intended to stay until close, ordering food and drinking. Intoxicated as we were, we were never rowdy, never a problem. They kicked us out when one of our compatriots became tired and began to nod off at the table. I understand bars don't like this, perhaps can even get into trouble with the law for it. And yet we were the only people there. Best guess is that it was a slow night and they just wanted to go home.So I'm torn. It's a five star review up until they gave us the boot. Oh yeah, they have a small but nice selection of craft beers.

Great place! Back to the classic Whelan's. Tuesday's sessions. Food, beer, staff, music. Good things come in small packages.
