Truc Orient Express - West Stockbridge

I can't understand how there are negative reviews for this place. This restaurant is a true gem—a family-owned institution in the Berkshires that serves delicious, healthy food at reasonable prices. The owner has always been kind and welcoming to me. TOE is a valuable addition to the West Stockbridge community and Berkshire County as a whole. I highly recommend it!

I feel truly spoiled when it comes to great Vietnamese cuisine, and San Francisco has no shortage of it. Now that I've just moved here, I was taken by surprise by the culinary excellence at Truc Orient Express. This restaurant is a true gem in The Berkshires, deserving of every one of its five stars. The Vietnamese pancake is a must-try—it's just right—crispy, fresh, and packed with vibrant produce and shrimp. The sauces are outstanding, and the desserts are absolutely irresistible. If you get a chance to meet the owner, be sure to say hello; she and her staff take immense pride in their work and know their customers by name. I can't express enough how wonderful the food is and how accommodating and friendly the staff are in creating a memorable, first-class dining experience.

We ordered the happy pancakes, lemongrass tofu, and spring rolls, and we enjoyed every dish—especially the pancakes, which are a must-try. The owner was kind enough to accommodate us on short notice. I highly recommend this place!

We come out to the Berkshires every summer and Truc is always a highlight. Google Maps seems to be the cause of some difficulty, as they had incorrect hours for the restaurant (now removed). Testimony to how good the food is here, you need to order takeout a day in advance! We look forward to dining inside again soon!

One of the great restaurants of my life, over the 28 years my family has been coming to Truc this truly family owned restaurant, with modern authentic Vietnamese food, the loveliest extended family running the place and the calming, elegant dining room and one of a kind gift shop has been a highlight of summer in the Berkshires. When I speak to my grown kids, now living all over the world and they say they 've been to a Vietnamese restaurant I always ask how was it? ' and they say its no Truc! lol. Happy they were open for takeout during the pandemic. Thanks Luy, Truc and family for being such a big part of our family traditions.
