We ordered a family meal via the app which was fairly easy to use but the tracking doesn’t work. Our meal was prepared in front of me whilst I waited which I am SO pleased it was because I was able to witness the poorest...hygiene I have ever seen and can safely say we will never be eating from here again. Two girls prepared our meal, one of which was eating behind the counter, and then without even washing her hands prepared our food. When I challenged her she didn’t appear to see she had done anything wrong. Even without covid eating behind a food counter, touching your mouth and then preparing food is just disgusting and a sackable offence in my eyes. To give them credit when I pulled them up on it they did re do my order whilst the girl who was clearly hungry and felt she was entitled to help herself to a quick sausage ran into the back to hide. Girls with long hair down and not tied back and maybe if the staff wore masks they might think twice about touching their faces and eating whilst behind a food counter. It’s like buying food from a deli counter after watching the server lick their fingers just before. I didn’t eat mine but my family did. Mushy peas were more like pea soup and the fish cake frankly so so dry. The prices are not reasonable when you can get better quality, more affordable fish chips in smarts! Learn from this and train your staff with basic hygiene.

Just had some amazing fish chips from our local. Thank you. Fabulous cod (succulent, not dry), good crispy batter and plenty of chips. Very good. Would thoroughly recommend.

Anthony went above and beyond this evening to make sure we were happy with our order and went all the way back to retrieve a missing item for my son, could not fault his service!! So polite, friendly and over all a great person! Oh...and of course food was delicious too!

Not saying it was greasy but the cardboard box holding the fish fell apart in the five minutes it took from the shop to home. Soggy chips and curry sauce that tasted like sugar. Truly appalling, shame you can't give zero stars. Expensive and the...portions are too big, especially when you've never eaten there before so half of it ends up in the bin.

Honestly I just don’t know how they get good reviews, it was great when it first opened but I stopped using it a while ago because the food was so bad. This time my daughter came and wanted to treat me to fish and chips...as it was a while since I had tried it I hoped that it had improved, it hadn’t. My daughter said she had to wait as making fresh fish and chips so this time they couldn’t have been sitting long but! Horrible sludgy batter, why isn’t it crisp??? Soggy chips, why??? I use the visiting fish and chip van and get fabulous fresh chips and crispy battered fish, if they can do it why can’t you? Plus the fish and chip van is so reasonable in price compared to your over priced sludge.
