Red Pier Cajun Seafood - West Memphis

The restaurant was incredibly disorganized. Their menu features fried green tomatoes and boudin balls, but when we inquired about them, they informed us that they were out of both. We then chose something else from the menu, only to be told at the time of ordering that they actually had the green tomatoes available, so we switched our order. We also ordered a crawfish po' boy sandwich, but what we received was just a box of crawfish tails. Everything was completely lacking in salt and pepper, which is surprising for a Cajun restaurant. However, they did take back the box of crawfish and turned it into a po' boy for us. We're going to wait six months before giving them another chance. If they’re still around and serving food as flavorless as what we had today, we probably won't return.

We were told there would be a 45-minute wait, but to our surprise, we were seated after only 20 minutes, which was great. However, after being seated, we sat at our table for another 15 minutes without anyone coming to serve us. After informing a hostess about our situation, we waited an additional 5 minutes, yet still no one came to help us. Frustrated, we decided to leave. It's quite simple—if you can't serve customers, then don't seat them. The servers moving around the restaurant appeared indifferent and were in no hurry to assist the guests.

I tried this restaurant for the first time, and while the food was decent, the service left much to be desired. I waited at the front counter for at least 20 minutes just to pay and collect my order. On my second attempt, I called to place an order but was put on hold for 7 minutes. When I called back, I was hung up on, and from that moment on, the line was busy until closing time. If they hired staff who genuinely wanted to work and deliver excellent customer service, this could be a fantastic place!

My children and I dined here on February 22, 2022, and we were impressed by the generous portions of the seafood dishes we received. Our waitress, Joy, was full of energy and made our experience enjoyable. The owner also checked in to ensure we were satisfied, especially since it was their grand opening. Overall, the service was excellent! Thank you!

I called to place an order, but the person on the other end abruptly hung up on me. When I shared this with the manager, they seemed indifferent to my experience. As for the food, it did not meet my expectations. I understand that this is a new restaurant and they might be busy, but providing good customer service should always be a priority.
