It is withdrawn enough form the city center to give you rolling hill country view and quiet, but you can easily access city without toll roads within 19-20 minutes. The staff is really friendly and will do what they can to make your stay special. We went to our wedding day and my birthday. Rooms and decor we and very elegant, and they recently finished a remodel. The spa was not yet open when we were there, but there is the spa, plentiful outdoor seating, clean updated gym, complementary bottle of wine and two water bottles, on site bar / coffee bar and restaurant. I think the restaurant was overpriced, so after 4 minutes we drove to the breakfast in Kirby Lane. We have a late checkout to enjoy more time at the hotel. Definitely recommend for couples, singles, weddings and older adults. Not good for children, but in my opinion. You can easily tap people with a QR code.
For the first time in Austin we wanted to stay on the west side of the city so that we can be delivered near the hill country and away from traffic and the Granduca! Recently renovated (as just completely opened 2 days ago) the place is beautiful! We have the Junior Suite, which was very spacious and secret. The pool is very private and surrounded by trees. The Laurel was so good that we could eat two nights in a row! But above all, the entire staff was very friendly and helpful that they went out to make sure we had a good time. When we come back to Austin, what we are most likely in spring for the flowers, we will definitely come back!
She stayed during her rebuilding and it was a bit surprising. nowhere on their website or emails about the trip mentioned it. the ambiente was definitiw affected. her restaurant was decorated in an outdoor tent (that was air conditioned and beautiful), but again, did not feel like the increased experience you would expect. we had two meals here: breakfast one day and dinner of another day. the breakfast server was great, but the dinner server was not informed about any of the offers, and he was very slow to check on our table, although the place was almost empty. both times tasted excellent. to get to the pool, they had to go through a floor under construction and dodge workers who tried to do their jobs. it felt uncomfortable to be in her way. they would be iron and other tools under a spigot right next to the pool, which in turn made it seem much less nice than expected from the granduca. the stars of the show were the housemasters. the room was immaculate every day, and the comforts of the room were always refreshed (soap, water bottles, coffee etc). it was a tasty to come into a freshly cleaned room every day. this trip was given to us by my instincts, and I really hope they got a reduced rate. this is one of their favorite hotels in austin and they were definitiw of the experience. I know they are back, but I think my man and I will look for other options if we want an upscale hotel experience.
Nice location. Relaxing, flawless and well maintained rooms. But I would give 6 stars to the service if I could. You're really beautiful! The hotel is currently renovated, but they do their best to keep noise and dust out of their eyes and out of their head. A relaxing and beautiful place to stay.
We decided to have a weekend getaway at a nice hotel for our 40 year anniversary. We decided to go to Austin for the weekend since we haven't been in awhile... we also decided on the Granduca Hotel in Austin. We really liked the idea of the hotel views in the hills around Austin and still being close to town.... The hotel is beautiful! even while they were finishing up on renovations at the time... the room we chose for the Anniversary Package was excellent, very large with fantastic hill country views all around! All hotel staff were fantastic..,. In particular the Front Desk staff ensured we had everything we needed and were very responsive to any question or request we had during the stay. My only suggestion is to consider creating a few parking spots for mobility challenged on the hotel level....but this was definitely NOT a showstopper because the Valet are so attentive and so responsive! We did room service the first night and the food was excellent! ... We did the main restaurant for our Anniversary dinner and although the restaurant is under renovation we still felt like it was a special night ... the musical performer was excellent... the waitstaff were very customer focused and attentive.... we appreciated it. I recommend the Granduca Hotel Austin very much and will definitely come back for another stay.
