Contribuiți la feedbackDuring a recent visit to Loch Lomond we chose Chimes based on reviews. Couldn't fault our meals (chicken curry and beef curry). Very good value plus got free yarn crackers which was a winner! Restaurant was busy as it was a Sunday night and George was very polite to collect on our arrival. Will hopefully eat in the restaurant when we are in Loch Lomond.
We placed our order around 6:25 PM. We called at 7:35 PM and were informed that our order had just been dispatched and would take an additional 20 minutes. After waiting for 1 hour and 40 minutes, we called again at 8:05 PM as our order still had not arrived. The staff member who answered was unhelpful and rude, informing us that everyone in the restaurant, including walk-in customers, was placing orders over the phone. We do not recommend ordering from this restaurant, as it took nearly 2 hours for our food to arrive. We regret not preparing a homemade meal instead, as it would have been much quicker.
I'd rather focus on the home delivery service than on restaurant diners. we had to wait 1.5 hours between starter and main courses. After we talked to graham, our food seemed wonderful. not impressed
We had a very nice sit-in dinner at Chimes, following lifting of covid restrictions. We were greeted warmly upon arrival, and were shown to our seats right away. Service throughout the meal was fantastic. The food was very nice, but the chicken in my partner’s...satay was a bit tough (slightly overcooked. That said, it apparently tasted great. I can’t fault anything with my own meal chicken with green pepper in black bean sauce. We will be back at Chimes, and would definitely recommend.
We had a takeaway from Chimes as our local Chinese takeaway is closed due to Coronavirus. We were greeted warmly on arrival (services is always good at Chimes), and our order was ready very quickly. My partner had chicken satay, which she loved, and I...had a special chowmein which was nice (although the chicken meat was a bit dry). I also had a side order of mushrooms, which were lovely. We also shared a portion of salt and pepper chicken, which was also nice, but a bit saltier than we are used to. Portion sizes were good. Would definitely recommend Chimes.
