Ristorante Piacenza - West Dover

The restaurant is located in an old inn. The historic building has a beautiful ambience. Unfortunately, that was the end of something positive. Service was unbelievably bad, although I think more the guilt of the administration is not enough waiting present, although it is not so busy for a Friday night. The food was edible, but nothing even approached vulnerable. The prices would not be inappropriate if the food was better and the portion size would be larger. We're not coming back.

This isn't the first time we've been here. The food is excellent, but the service needs a lot of improvement. They are very, very understated. The waiters are really overworked. It seemed like most of the patrons were seats within a 15 minutes time frame. It took a long time before the beverage-wine order was taken, and it was a good hour after sitting until we got our meal. My chicken parmigiana was served with totally burned, carburized black cheese. Of course they replaced it, but a good restaurant would never let it come out of the kitchen that looks first in this way. My replacement was very tasty, moist and delicate. The pork chop is also an excellent choice! You also have to address the design on your fireplace. Very cozy, but you can taste the smoke smell in your mouth. Once someone opened a window, it was much better. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, but as already mentioned, overworked.

Excellent food great atmosphere. Had a last minute reservation and had a wonderful experience.

The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was delightful! We will definitely return with our family!
