Contribuiți la feedbackI stopped by this restaurant for a bottle of water on a hot afternoon. I initially thought I misheard when told it was 1 pound, which I thought was a great price. The female staff members were very friendly and explained that they make an effort to keep their prices low. Despite the fact that there were many customers sitting outside, it was quiet inside and I enjoyed a nice chat and laugh with the two ladies. It appears to be a popular spot.
Came here for an ice cream just before closing, they had to scrape out the bottom of the box which was mostly melted and not even to fill the cone, as soon as they handed it over it had to be licked as it was melting everywhere. They then told us after that it was only cash which we didn’t have and then took the ice cream back after it had been licked. The lady then said she was going to turn it upside down and put it back in the tub they were very rude and terrible customer service wouldn’t go back
I stopped by this restaurant for lunch and had pasties and ice cream. I sat outside in the sun on chairs with a view overlooking the bay. The lady who served us was very friendly and efficient, although she accidentally gave me the wrong change. I think she was a bit distracted by my beauty, haha. The ice cream was really delicious, although a bit pricey. Given the current circumstances with covid, Brexit, and the high cost of living, I expected the higher prices, especially in a popular seaside resort in the expensive South of England. Living nearby, I am accustomed to these expensive prices.
Today we visited this establishment and sat outside to eat in the sun. We ordered prawn and crab sandwiches. Firstly, if you are in the business of charging £8 for a crab sandwich, why would you choose Tesco value brown bread to put it on? Terrible, terrible. This place is a classic example of a shabby cafe existing solely on the passing trade of unsuspecting tourists. The poor couple on the next table to us had just sat down and were ambushed by a massive seagull who stole their horrible, expensive sandwich and knocked a steaming full cup of tea over the lady. The blousy managers response to this was to ask the husband to kindly put the empty cup in the bin and moved them on! ‘Didn’t even offer to replace the tea which would have been a nice gesture given the lady had been scalded. So, shan’t be giving them out business again and nor will our fellow diners. Avoid.
Recent visit waited over half an hour for 2 sandwiches which were incorrect when given to us, manager was very rude argued with young boy who took the order didn’t want to correct it. Very poor service!!!!!!
