The Clockhouse Inn - West Dorset

Lovely pub on a busy main road. Made to feel very welcome, the lady behind the bar was very friendly and service was great. The food and drinks were good value, food was average and drinks were fine.

After spending over £100 on an average meal down at the Anchor we decided to try this pub during our stay at the campsite. We were so blown away with how friendly and kind the staff are and how reasonable pricing the food is. The food is proper pub food, nothing fancy and extortionately priced. There’s much more of a nicer and cosy atmosphere here than down at the anchor. Campers, don’t waste your money and head up to the clock instead!

Friendly enough place but you get the impression it needs a bit of TLC. We had food but the scampi was over cooked as was my wife’s chicken burger. Prices are OK but would not rush back there.

A fantastic evening in the Clockhouse Inn, food was basic but delicious, staff were very friendly and helpful, we ate in spent time in the skittle alley, and had the best evening.

After our walk we stopped here for a few drinks on a Tuesday afternoon. It was not that busy. The staff member was polite and helpful and once we had our drinks we sat outside on their decking area.
