Contribuiți la feedbackWe stopped here. a few times and enjoyed a full size coffee at good prices. The food from the kitchen looked lovely and there are some local sourced food available. Lots of fresh pasties even catering for vegans. we didn't partake in the food but on both occasions we went in we were made to feel welcome and even though it was only a coffee they were happy to see you.
Had 2 thick absolutely not! Milkshakes. Absolutely dreadful. Checked with staff that they actually were thick milkshakes and was tild they were. Also found a black hair on my drink, although I didn 't mention it. Was so disappointed with the milkshake!!!!
Half an our wait for a crab sandwich that arrived with stale bread, some old limp iceberg lettuce, a wedge of lemon that looked like it been on the floor and the crab was suspect, even the dogs wouldn't eat it, at over £10 I expected better, will not return
We opted for a ham sandwich, fruit cake, water, and an oat milk latte. The sandwich was filled with delicious homemade ham and good quality bread. The fruit cake was a generous portion. The oat milk latte was prepared perfectly to my liking. The cafe also has an ice cream parlour next door, which seemed popular. The staff was friendly.
Went for breakfast with my partner and we ordered two full English breakfasts. As we were about to eat our breakfast my partner found a hair on the plate, waved that off, then another two hairs stuck to the bacon. The hairs were dark and my partner is blonde so no way they were her hair fallen into the food. We called over the polite waitress and we advised her and showed her these hairs. The waitress asked us what we wanted, we were both put off our food and asked for a refund. The waitress went to speak to the manager/Owner and she took the bit of toast and bacon the hair was attached to, to show the manager. The waitress came back and advised us message from owner) that the manager said there were no hairs on the food, even though we had showed the waitress. I asked to see the manager to speak with her and to try and sort this out in a respectful manner. The manager comes over to us what 's wrong were her first words to us. We explained we found the hairs, and she denied all knowledge of these and asked my partner to show her the hairs on her plate. Well obviously we didn 't have them as the waitress had taken the toast/bacon into the back. The manager/Owner asked us to prove it again...we obviously couldn 't. We had still paid in full for our food and not had a single bite. I said well can we have the food back to show you. I followed her to the front of the shop and she gave me the toast/bacon back. By this point the hair had obviously fallen off in the bin or where it had been put. We couldn 't prove it but did not appreciate being called a liar. The attitude and customer service of this woman was incredibly rude and unprofessional, branding us liars. She mentioned her hair was away from food, it was held back by a head band and that she was the only one in the kitchen and she didn 't drop any hairs in the food. I asked for a full refund and she refused, but gave a refund for one of the breakfasts £12.50), I advised I would give a bad review of the cafe and she said she didn 't care and that I 'was 1 in 1000 ' and didn 't ever have a bad review. We were also told she didn 't want our custom again. The lovely guy at the till sorted one refunded breakfast and the waitress who was also nice, told us she thought we were lovely girls. I was fumming walking out that cafe. We were in the right and I have never been spoken to like that from a cafe owner or any customer service like that.
