Royal Inn - West Devon

Great find, new to area and loved this pub. Simple menu but really nice and good value. Beautiful location, relaxed and welcoming (staff and other customers).

Poor service. Had made reservation. Delay in being shown to table. Staff who said they would take orders never returned to the table. Staff who took orders for extra items never returned to table. Too few staff.

Great food, especially the superb Sunday lunch. Good value for money. Pleasant and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

A warm and friendly welcome from the Barmaid 'Lucy ' that offered us an Ale drink and a rum and coke. Delicious and tasty Gammon meal from the Cook 'Tracey ' which we found cooked to the highest standard as excellent. We 're definitely returning back to the 'the Royal Inn '. A old nunnery which housed the nuns which makes the royal inn a such relaxing and enjoyable place to visit.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Excellent beers, good food at a very reasonable price. A historic building with a great ambience in a beautiful rural setting. Strongly recommended!
