Far East Joint - West Covina

Whenever you're in West Covina, this restaurant is a must-visit! The menu offers unique and incredibly flavorful dishes that you won't find anywhere else.

When I received my order, I was disappointed to find a small portion of cold, stale fries. I had hoped for something better after the long wait, especially after seeing the other person's order. Despite the subpar fries, I decided to eat them anyway to avoid causing a scene. The joint burger was good, although I didn't think it was worth the $14 price tag considering the poor quality of the fries. I hope next time the service will be better. Before leaving, I tried some of the food I had ordered to-go and found that the fries were cold, indicating that they are served that way at the restaurant. My brother's joint burrito was also cold, which was disappointing considering it should have been served hot.

This restaurant is a fantastic choice for a unique and delicious meal! I will definitely be returning. I was surprised that it wasn't busy because it seems like the type of place that would be crowded on a Saturday night. The atmosphere and service were both excellent. Highly recommended!

Ordered Joint Burrito with KBBQ beef, kimchi, spring onion, cheese, and rice. Also tried their Spicy Salt Calamari and Garlic Fries. Pros: casual atmosphere and good portion size for the burrito and fries. drinks are self serve. the burrito is tasty and tastes better with it's complimentary sauce. fries have good flavor but a bit overcooked. Cons: their salad is bland, calamari packs a dry heat (smoked paprika and habanero), food arrived a bit slow. prices are alright.

I ordered the chicken katsu curry bowl while my wife ordered the 6-pc wings with garlic fries. It was a little bit more than I'd like to have paid, but the excellent quality and flavors helped me see past that. My wife and I will probably make this a regular go-to for us.
