Bojangles - West Columbia

The restaurants in our city closed down a few years ago, so when we came across this one during a visit to Columbia, SC, for a graduation, we felt we had to give it a try. Unfortunately, I was let down. The wings were hard and dry, as if they had been cooked hours earlier. The dirty rice was decent but served cold. My travel companions said the tenders were acceptable. I ended up giving the restaurant three stars because of the Cajun pinto beans and the surprisingly good sweet potato pies.

On August 27, 2022, I would honestly give this place zero stars. To be fair, my previous visits weren't terrible—just what you'd expect from any fast-food restaurant. However, today was a different story. An elderly woman had to wait 1 hour and 5 minutes (she even timed it) for just two country-fried ham biscuits and two sausage biscuits, along with some Bo Berry biscuits. The Bo Berry biscuits were hard and definitely not worth the wait. Overall, the food today was not cooked well.

Is it too much to ask for chicken that doesn't taste like it's three days old? We stopped eating here because the food was consistently bad, but since it had been a while, we decided to give it another try last night. My husband picked up an eight-piece family meal around 6:15 PM, and the chicken looked and tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp since at least noon. The skin was so tough that it was impossible to bite into, and the chicken was drier than any I've ever had. I just can't comprehend how any restaurant would actually serve something like this to customers. We ended up spending over $27 for two sides, biscuits (which my husband said weren’t fresh but at least better than the chicken), and a half gallon of lemonade. Save your money if you're looking for good fried chicken. We're completely done with this Bo's!

Food was horrible, I do not suggest getting food from this store

I have a bojangles gift card with 3.20 left on it and a 5 dollar bill. The employee said she checked my gift card and there nothing on it. Which I called and of course there is still 3.20 on my gift card. I had to use my credit card to buy the food. Why is it so difficult for them to run a bojangles gift card?? Also why lie to me and say you checked my card? If you?ll lie to me about my gift card balance I?m sure you?ll do worst to the food.
