Give this place a shot, you won't regret it. Updating...went for dinner as well. Just as awesome with some amazing desserts as well. Servers and owner super friendly and great to talk to.
I had my bridal shower hosted here and Mae?s really knocked it out of the park with everything. The food was amazing and they were so helpful with setting everything up and making the day as stress-free as possible. They were also really great with accommodating food allergies. Everyone kept raving about the food and really enjoyed the ambience of the place too. Thank you so much!!
Lovely farm to table BYOB in West Chester. We had the pleasure of meeting Chef Josh and his wife the evening we were there. Outdoor dining on Gay Street was quite nice until the steady rains came. The wait staff could not have been more attentive or friendlier as we sheltered in place under the umbrella. They?ve had a rough go of it opening in the heart of the pandemic. Highly recommend the arancini appetizer and the turmeric shrimp appetizer. The peanut butter and brownie trifle was also a highlight (keep making that! as was the schnitzel dinner special. About the only critique I can offer is that the menu was slightly too limited for me, as there were only four entree selections plus the special of the day. Nevertheless, Mae?s is a great addition to the Borough, with really good people behind it. Looking forward to our next meal there.
We went here for brunch after my daughters graduation last Sunday may 14 . It had been recommended to me by the West Chester mom group. We live in NJ so needed some suggestions. It was absolutely fantastic. All 7 of us ate everything on our plates. And the waitress I think her name was Veronica was the sweetest person ever ! What a wonderful way to end the graduation...I only wish we had a place like this in Bergen county NJ. The most delicious potatoes I?ve ever had too. Everything was so delicious!
2nd visit update I?ve tried their pancakes which were okay but breakfast potatoes weren?t crispy this time. Took my mom here for brunch for Mother?s Day because it?s one of the only restaurants around us that allows you to make reservations! Servers were so friendly. Food was delicious. I love how they have different coffee and hot drink options unlike some other brunch places that just serve black coffee. My latte was awesome! The French toast was unique but not my favorite. I loved the bacon (they give you so much!! I requested it well done and they listened! Also the breakfast potatoes were amazing.
