Extremely poor service and that in itself was really off-putting. Our waitress was absent for the entire meal and a runner literally dropped our plates off and split faster than we could say We didn 't order this... The appetizer was completely overcooked and dried out quickly. We were hungry when we got there and the 45 minute wait made us even more anxious but when no one came back to check on the quality and accuracy of our orders, it felt like we were being told take it or leave it . Spent a lot of money for an experience and our experience was poor, a real rip off.

One of our favorite places for the atmosphere and ambience but we were very disappointed in the quality of food on this last visit onSunday, 11/19. We always order the duck but this time the leg was dried out and the slices of breast meat were totally underdone and very salty, practically inedible. The waitress was missing in action for the entire meal, which is understandable with the general shortage of staff everywhere, but still compounded the bad experience. It will be a while before we make the one hour drive to get there again.

Outstanding food, facility, and service. It is a spectacular destination restaurant as well. Take time to walk around and take in all the history and colonial New England history. A true treasure in Central Massachusetts. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50
