Lilac Blossom (greystone Plaza)

Human style, so not really spicy. Nice lunch special menu. Has big screen TV in the bar area, we here you can also dine. No tvs in dining room. Have only been for lunch several times. Never had to wait. Generous portions. Service very attentive and professional. The ambiance is relaxing. White tablecloths, well spaced tables and quite. Bar drinks are good and food tasty. Vegetarian options: Can add meats in many dishes or omit Parking: Plenty of parking in this plaza. Kid-friendliness: Children are allowed, although I don't know if they have booster seats. It's not a play place, so better for older children or well supervised younger children. No booths just tables. Wheelchair accessibility: As required, there are designated parking spots, ramps and the restaurant is all on 1 level. Wide space between tables.

Good quality food at The Lilac Blossom but not 100% to my liking. First course wonton soup. Although the taste of the wonton soup is very good and the wontons taste excellent the soup has a lack of med ingredients. When I go for wonton soup, I like to see some peapods, shredded pork, bok choy, and possibly a few other veggies in the soup. This soup only comes with Wontons and a few pieces of scallion floating in it. The pork fried rice was very good and had apple amounts of barbecued pork. We also ordered chicken with vegetables. I found this to be a little bit on the bland side and to my taste, I would add a little bit of fish sauce. Additionally we ordered sliced ginger, pork with vegetables. All tasted very, very good, but I want to add the ginger pork was not spicy as shown in the menu. Don’t be afraid to order this dish as it will not be too spicy. Overall, the dining experience was very good, the food quality was good, the only negative was the fact that the food was a little bit on the bland side and the wonton soup was missing vegetables. Service was good and ambiance was nothing special.

First of all this is the only Chinese food place I have been to that has a dress code. Not putting them down but it is not warranted based on the quality of the food. So for this reason this review title is “lipstick on a pig” This was a take out order not dine in. We ordered 2 apps an entree and a rice dish. All were sub par and I will break it down by item ordered. Peking ravioli fried- we got heavy and dense ravioli that were basic at best in terms of flavor. Not crispy at all because they steamed them by putting them on the container they did. Szechuan dumplings- also heavy but also cold and not very good. Tangerine chicken- flavorless and cold as well as had this off grey color to it. Chewy and tender at the same time. Definitely odd. Vegetable fried rice- tasted old. No real veggies besides the carrot and peas and onions and sprouts u see in all fried rice. One would think veggie fried rice would have broccoli or something other than the base veggies you see in the pork, beef, or chicken fried rice on the menu. Overall this place was below average and in terms of finer end Chinese places this is at the bottom of the list. Had high hopes because it gave off a Chen yeng li vibe but at the end of the day mall Chinese food is way better. Cost me $60 to figure out I’ll never go back.

Always fresh, very nice service and food size, I like that they have gluten-free options in the menu.
