Shantytown Grill - West Bloomington

My wife and I have been a few times to enjoy this local burger joint. We love it! The parking isn’t great but the atmosphere, employees, and food all make up for it. We walked in on a Friday and had to wait maybe 10 minutes to get seated at the bar. Our drinks were poured and delivered quickly and our order taken not too long after. It was a busy Friday night so our food took a little bit of time but we played some pull tabs and conversed with some other patrons. The burgers and sides came out just how we ordered them!! We will definitely continue to eat here.

This place is amazing. Best fried pickles we have had. Staff is a hoot!

Great burgers, cold beer, great staff, fun atmosphere! UPDATE I have tried shantytown roughly 7 different times in the last year... it's just not the same. The burger patties are so dry and overcooked. The tots are barely cooked and just mushy. They changed from serving your food on plates to serving your food in tiny plastic baskets with no room to even add ketchup. It pains me to leave a review like this, I don't want to think this about shantytown because I really did love this place! I used to crave their cool ranch burger. It was perfect food, no matter what! Now, it's just mediocre and underwhelming. I've been trying it over and over, hoping that it was just an off day. ??

Awesome place with great food and workers. The owners are absolutely amazing!! Definitely a place to check out.

We LOVE Shantytown! A Bloomington staple! The new owners are great, the food is still as amazing as ever! We love all the staff and it’s great they have a pull tab booth now!
