The Monument - West Berkshire

One of our Newbury favourites but unfortunately not the real ale choice compared to pre-covid. Still the Guinness is good and there's always a great atmosphere.

Recently stopped overnight in Newbury, we popped into this pub for a few drinks. Really welcoming, good range of beers with amazing staff, very polite and welcoming. Drinks prices were very cheap, lovely old pub with oak beams, locals very friendly. Would definitely go back.

Probably our favourite though we don't visit Newbury often. Not the ale choice there used to be but hey ho, the Guinness is well kept.

Lovely old pub with low beamed ceilings. Great atmosphere and very welcoming. Not so much ale choice as my last visit some 5 years ago but the Guinness was the best I've had in a long time. Properly looked after.
