The Mill At Thatcham - West Berkshire

Absolute fantastic find!! We would highly recommend the Millhouse. Came here with my family and from walking in had amazing customer service to leaving. Food was amazing and will be returning!!

Since Steph and Kath have taken the pub over its a very different pub from The Mill of old. It's a local that I'm now happy to take the family to for some great food or a game of pool with the kids. The locals are a great bunch, always polite and chatty, and notably keep the language down when the kids are in, a credit to the work the girls have done to turn the pub clientele around. Keep an eye out for live music, family fun days, music and themed nights. The family fun day that they just hosted was a hit with parents and kids alike. And the Pizzas are knock out! But be warned, the spicy pizza is just that, if you can handle it. ; Ohh, and see that review below for one star? That guy was in a couple of weeks ago when I dropped in with my lad. He gave my boy some great tips on the pool table and then gave him his own pool cue to use! Suffice to say we've been back since for more hints and banter. This is what a local should be. :

This small pub has transformed from having a bad reputation to becoming great thanks to the efforts of the staff and new owner. The food is good and the atmosphere is quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of other pubs. With reasonable prices, it's worth a try.

I really enjoyed the food at The Mill! The staff was extremely friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxed. The pizza and chicken wings were delicious. The pub garden is a great place to enjoy in the summer.

My friend and I brought our kids to The Mill House on Friday because of its nice outdoor seating area. The kids were hungry, so we ordered pizzas, nachos, and more, and it was all delicious. I usually have a hard time finding gluten and dairy-free options at Italian restaurants, but to my surprise, I was able to order a wood-fired pizza with a gluten-free base and dairy-free cheese, and it was amazing. It was honestly one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The staff were friendly, the prices were fair, and the outdoor space kept the kids entertained. It's not common to find a pub that caters to people with food intolerances like this, so I will definitely be returning.
