Michaleno's Pizzeria - West Bend

I've never had a bad meal there, and I've never picked up a disappointing order, either. I've traveled all around the world—from New York City to Italy, LA, and even Alaska. While New York City pizza is just okay for me—kind of floppy but crisp enough—everyone has their own preferences, which is part of the fun of exploring different places and trying new things. At this restaurant, I can easily grab a bacon cheeseburger, a pizza, a fish dinner, a chicken dinner, and lasagna, all in one stop to satisfy the appetites of six different people. It can't be beat! And don’t overlook the ribs; they’re absolutely delicious!

I was not impressed with the pizza. The crust resembled cardboard, and the cheese was bland and tasteless. The sausage was also nothing special. I can't understand how they earned the title of "best pizza" in West Bend. However, I must say that the cooks were very nice and welcoming. I suppose I'm just used to authentic pizza from Italian restaurants and pizzerias on the east side of Milwaukee, like Momma Mia's.

Pizza was not impressed. cruste tasted like karton. very bland tasteless cheese. Saud was nothing to flee. I can't understand how they got the best pizza in west bend. the chefs were very nice and hospitable. I guess I use real pizza like the Italian restaurants and pizzerias on the east side of milwaukee and momma mias.

Love this place! always pick up takeout, does not take long and good delicious pizza.

I grew up in the rockford, il area where there is a great pizza place on any other street corner. my bar was set low when it came to find decent local pizza when I originally moved to slinger and even then, I was still extremely disappointed by all the locals I had tried in the first year or so that I lived there. I worked in west bend and one day ordered some employees, which really smelled and saw like a very good pizza. had never heard of the place or seen when they told me that it came from michaleno. I tried a disc of what I suspected was only basic pfeffer chocolate and my gott, it tasted great. I was really hungry when all this happened and thought that a heavier factor had played in my mind, so I wanted to try it myself sometime. about 2 weeks later, I ordered it. I have a 10 inch cheese / pfefferoni thin crust, 10 inch cheese / pfefferoni “Blanket” pizza (a double crust filled pizza,) and my mother got the meatball sub. it was not almost as good as I had originally led to believe; starving made the pizza taste better for the first time. Nevertheless, I was still impressed that I liked it almost as much as I did. that was a good pizza, in the west bend area! I was so glad to finally discover it. many people will talk about how tasteless eating is, claiming that it is a tourist trap because of hotels close by, all kinds of slander that do not really talk about eating themselves. I think that's unfair. michalenos is in a city full of tasteless food; West bend itself is a bit of a food desert. if they literally tried every other place within a 3 miles radius of michaleno, they will immediately realize how much better michaleno is. from someone who grew up in one of the largest pizza cities in the country and spent about a year in slinger a good pizza near me, I thank them very warmly for michalenos so that the west bend area has at least a good Italian restaurant. they would not understand how great a thing is for many people. Go on!
