The Clubhouse Bar & Bistro - West Beach

We had some time before a Sunday afternoon flight and decided to go to The Clubhouse. It was a great place to relax and enjoy a drink, some conversation and some oysters. Only a five minute trip to the airport and a great view. Although we only sampled the oysters, they were fresh and beautifully presented. The drinks list, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic was quite good and everything was reasonably priced. It is a club by the beach, so plastic tables, chairs etc but very comfortable.

Service was excellent. Meal great, good size serves. Reasonably priced.Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere. Incredible setting, looking out over the water. Would definitely done there again.

This is a nice place to relax and unwind on the balcony with a glass of wine. We dined here last week with friends having heard the restaurant had a new chef. There have been a few changes in chefs in recent times but we decided to try it out. We were not disappointed. I ordered chicken breast schnitzel which was served with chips and a freshly made side salad. It was delicious. My husband ordered Scotch Fillet Steak with Pepper Sauce served with chips, coleslaw and deep fried onion rings. The steak was very tender. Our friends ordered the special on the menu "Pork Belly" which looked amazing. All of the meals were generous size portions, the quality of the food was excellent and the dishes were very well presented. Let's hope this chef stays as I liked the menu choices, the meals were great and very reasonably priced. We will definitely return again soon.

About 20 of us staying nearby for a reunion decided we head there for dinner on Sunday night. I dropped by to make a reservation and confirm a large group at short notice (one hour) was OK. The manager was more than happy to have us and appreciated the heads up so she get get her staff numbers sorted. End result was we all had a great meal while watching a magnificent sun set over the ocean with service from staff that were a credit to themselves and the restaurant. We all very much appreciated the efforts of all concerned. It topped off a great weekend in Adelaide!
