El Agave - Wentzville

This is our go to for Mexican food. We have never been disappointed. Excellent food. Excellent service.

My family of four went to the wentzville location. It was Friday night, they were super busy. The service was absolutely horrible, left us sitting for 15 minutes and still wouldn't have gotten our drinks or chips if I hadn't waved them over. After finally getting the drink order, they finally came n took our food order. Then they bring our food. My plate was wrong and they set it in front of my face, and I just cried. My husband plate was supposed to be mucho macho burrito combo and his was nothing what supposed to be so I Had them take my plate back n bring correct food. My replacement was supposed to be burrito and taco combo. Taco was mushy, and didn't taste right so I ended up spending $85 on the dinner and my everything was so horrible I couldn't even eat. I'm beyond pissed. The only good thing I got was the margarita. My burrito didn't have any lettuce, sour cream or anything ????????

Absolutely the best authentic Mexican food I've had in years. Went for dinner around 5:30 and were seated right away. Our server was the BEST. Super friendly, very efficient. Chips were much better than run of the mill chips served from other Mexican restaurants.Margarita was quite tasty. Food was served quickly and super piping hot. VERY generous portions. My sister in law LOVED the Taco Salad, said it was loaded with beef and very tasty.I had the #3 on the Combination Platters: Taco, Enchilada and Chile Relleno. All 3 were superb. Great flavor. The Relleno was not in a greasy batter and had a delicious stuffing.Can't wait to go back. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was very good and the patio is actually shady and nice, not just bare tables by a parking lot. It has evergreens growing on two sides which makes it feel cozy and provides

We have come here a few times now. They are consistently good and we love it! Keep the Margaritas and Beer ice cold and the food hot! We'll keep coming back!
