Contribuiți la feedbackLocation The oak cellar is easily accessible by car via the A8, exit Wendlingen or Kirchheim/Teck and the L 1200 Ulmer Straße. The restaurant is located opposite the riding complex Runte veterinarian on the Bodelshof on the Göppinger Jakobsweg. History The former Knighthood Bodelshofen was first mentioned in 1268. It belonged to the Duchess of Teck and came to Wernau by 1400. In the 18th century, Franz Gottlieb from Palm, who was born in Esslingen and worked as a banker in Vienna, acquired the Bodelshofen. In 1829 the town of Bodelshofen was convened in Wendlingen. In the St. Jacobs Church, four works can be visited on the legendary Jakobsweg church windows of the famous glass painter Hans Gottfried von Stockhausen. A visit on Sunday morning, then an early snout in the oak cellar that fits. Welcome Very friendly by the service that led us to the reserved places. Service She immediately brought the menu and inquired about the beverage request, but took the request for patience up to the information about what is presented and the selection of dishes. She served the drinks ordered and the food was served for a while. From the entrance door she looked well over the beer garden and was immediately at the place where a glass went into the neige or used dishes were no longer needed. The fact that she had to find out if the desired water of the spray water was still in stock, throws a small shadow on her operational capacity. You should know that in a clear offer, but maybe it was new. A small wink was enough for the payment and it brought the bill. The menu is very nice. We were on the first side. Krustenbraten from the oven with late zle and salad, normal 2 slices of meat 14,80 € Seniors 1 slice of meat 12,80 € Add a semi-dinkelacker private 2,70 € and 1 Sanwald yeast wheat alcohol-free 2,70 € Completely made 2 very good fruits of a regional distillery of 1,80 € The previously served salad was not worth mentioning with the exception of the delicious potato salad. Cut into fine slices, boiled salad potatoes, discreet with vinegar and oil, light onion taste, that can be the cook/cook. The portions were plentiful, the meat slices almost 2 cm thick. Unfortunately, I lacked the crust I loved, which is simply part of the crust. Why you removed it is embarrassing to me, maybe a concession for some older guests. The meat itself was butter soft and juicy, the edge red with good roasted aroma, unfortunately drowned in a dark brown sauce. This was probably not a pure natural product, but stretched with various small helpers. However, it tasted quite neat, not salted and without the typical Maggi taste. The late zle, decorated with fresh cuts, but square that was made me near a finished product, was later confirmed to me, freshly cooked and well tasted. Probably a premium product. I would like to call the presentation itself a deeply murdered, typical village guest house old styles with little attention to detail. I fluctuate between 3 and four stars, but I leave it for three because of the shortcomings that are important to me. The idyllic old timber construction, opposite riding facilities, cemetery and church of St. James, is located in the center of the hamlet. Next to the restaurant, the beautiful, over 100 years old village bakery, which is still in operation. In front of the house there is a very charming beer garden with Mediterranean and exotic plants in large bowls. Our table and benches, very solid wood furniture, stood between a powerful olive tree and lemon trees with mature lemons. A place to relax. The inner area extends over two planes. In the upper area two sharp grooves and the counter. In the left part an inconspicuously installed large screen, probably for sports events. A few steps down the also very cozy cellar vault. Good standard, very narrow due to the structure layout. Access is also set with beer barrels and others. Cleanliness Guest rooms and toilets well maintained.
Wir waren im Wintergarten essen. Es war wie im Urlaub. Super.
