Harris Hoole - Welwyn Hatfield

I have been a regular customer at this Harris Hoole location for a few years now, and I can confidently say that the service is consistently fast and friendly, the cleanliness is always top-notch, and the coffee and food quality is excellent. I find it hard to believe some of the negative reviews I have read, as they are so different from my own positive experiences at this branch.

This coffee shop is always fantastic. The staff are always friendly and helpful and while there can sometimes be a bit of wait it’s because they actually take the time to do things properly! Best cheese toastie and their winter latte is amazing. Never disappointed here. Extra plus is the loyalty app which is generous.

I went to the cafe on Saturday, September 28th at noon and was disappointed by the dirty conditions and long wait for service. It was frustrating to see only one staff member handling drink orders during a busy lunch rush. Despite the cafe's modern appearance, it was overpriced and poorly managed. The quality of the tea was also subpar, tasting too floral and fancy for my liking. I would have preferred a standard cup of PG or Tetley tea. The photos I took show dirty tables and floors, adding to the overall unpleasant experience.

The coffee is great, the staff are amazing, and the cake was delicious. It may be slightly expensive, but they are positioning themselves as a coffee house rather than a Tesco cafe, as seen in the quality of service and food they provide. The negative one-star reviews here are unwarranted, and I will definitely be coming back.
