The Steakhouse - Wells

This is my top choice for a steak dinner. The service is consistently excellent, and the food is outstanding! The atmosphere is wonderful, and I really appreciate the expanded bar and dining options.

I'm really disappointed with this experience. We chose to visit this restaurant because everyone raved about how great it was. We even arrived early to wait in line, which was fine, because...

The waitress was quite good. I requested that my main course be held until I finished my salad, but that didn't happen, which was a bit disappointing. The steak was decent but cooked less than the temperature I ordered. When I get a steak at LongHorn, they always get it right. On my way out, the cashier asked how my meal was, and when I mentioned the steak was undercooked, all she could suggest was that I should have told my server so it could have been sent back. Really? I understand that, but as a high-end steakhouse, getting the cooking temperature right should be standard. I don't want to send back a $30 steak just to have it cooked correctly—there’s always a chance of it being mishandled. This is your specialty, and it shouldn’t be difficult to get it right without requiring a customer to send it back. Overall, it was just okay. While the service wasn’t the server's fault, I can’t justify paying these prices when a chain restaurant does it better. I probably won’t return at these prices. Just focus on what you do well! It’s baffling that a waitress would tell management we were sharing a meal. In reality, I don’t eat meat and only had soup, while my daughter enjoyed steak. This whole situation has left me very disappointed. I doubt they will care, but we've decided that we likely won’t return. It seems ridiculous that when you pay for a meal, you can't even let someone have a taste of it.
