A&W Restaurant - Wellington North

I really love the breakfast and the other dishes on their menu. The staff have gone above and beyond to provide excellent service on multiple occasions. The employees are friendly and the service is quick.

I ordered spicy chicken on a 7-grain bun with extra pickles and a swirl. The display didn't show the extra pickles I requested. When I corrected the order, I never saw my burger order updated. The cashier said she forgot. I paid at the window, but didn't need to. After a long wait, I finally got my order and headed home. When I opened the burger, there were no onions or pickles, so either the order wasn't corrected or my request was ignored. I didn't go back because there was a long line. Next time, I'll wait at the pick-up window to make sure my order is correct.

Wanted to try her wobble rings. I have been disappointed at some places, but this one has it right. delicious and crispy.

Today I was so disappointed with our local A&W in Mount Forest. The fries were only warm on a Teen burger combo. The bacon was not cooked which definitely didn't add to a great meal. Most A&W's offer a free refill on root beer however...this was not offered or ever has been in the past. The disposal section was piled high with fry baskets, trays and mugs. Realizing it was Saturday at noon hour is no excuse. I will now drive the extra distance to Fergus where the service is excellent and continuous.

We seldom go to A&W but it is the only game in town on the north side of Mount Forest. Service was quick but the burgers were sitting on the assembly line. There is no choice of toppings and the burgers were very ordinary at...a price that was not good value. All the sides were extra. We could have done a lot better for the money at a nearby Canadian institution We will not be eating at A&W again.
