The Thistle Inn

We had booked a room for a private function staff Christmas Dinner. The actual place is so big that there were a variety of rooms and lots of other groups using the facility. It’s so big that I didn’t even know other groups were there. So with that in mind and staffing issues they did extremely well in catering for our group. The room decorated beautifully, well ventilated and the food was delicious.

I enjoyed the atmosphere. They were playing some jazzy type upbeat music. It was unexpectedly nice. I had the Butternut risotto. Very rich. Tasted good, colorful. I also enjoyed an one-step Hazy IPA

Great food and great burgers for the WOAP. Looking forward to returning soon to try other things on their menu

I actually love this place. The building is historic and the food is good. I especially love the oysters, scallops and the wagyu burger. The salad is lovely as well. Unfortunately, on our last visit, the staff was not so friendly : . She kept rolling her eyes when we asked about the menu and added orders as we came as a group. I didn’t finish my wagyu burger and asked one of the waiters to put it in take away box but they threw away the food instead : . She apologized but I was so disappointed.
