Beautiful warm atmosphere in a glass room with view, although very busy too afternoon. living under kovid has difficult to use here. we had to sit on a table (which was good for social distancing) and have explained the menu, although we wanted to go on the counter to choose food from the cabinet. I watched a worker with a spray bottle that wiped the tables when the people left. the personal was friendly and perfected the expressive augence-winner over her mask. I was surprised that a caffe in a family-expeditionplace had gourmet type food too high to preisen, but maybe it's a wellington thing. I chose a box from the cooler who read the celestial chocolate bio milk, but it turned out to drop a chocolate ice block with a gel tip that had begun to order food. the remaining room sign is tiny and high so we missed it completely and went down two steps to the main thing.
We went to New Zealand for our high-time anniversary and started our day with brunch there. the service was absolutely amazing: friendly staff, nice and fast service. eating was cut and the portion size was ok. we ordered three nets and one dessert that has just fired us, but not to a full satisfaction. overall it is a good experience.
That was our first time in rata cafe, we enjoyed it. had the skyberry banana blueberry smoothie. really loved the cake. bernice the baby had more fun eating before a long 2 hours walk with us.
Lady at counter got frustrated at me for being hard if hearing in a loud cafe. Ordered a pie, 30mins later it didn't show up, went and enquired about the pie, they said it'll be a few more minutes (just to heat a single serve pie) cut into it to find they gave me the wrong one and the one I picked while I was waiting was sold. Won't bother eating there before going to zealandia next time. I'd give 1* but the profits go to a good cause. So there you have it.
