Contribuiți la feedbackThank you Miss Sarah Cortes for writing the review about my father’s disrespectful and unkind treatment at Gabriel’s. My father is elderly and with medical conditions that prevent him from standing for long periods of time. The man seating people at the restaurant got him up from a chair so rudely and screaming at him for not being able to get up as quickly as he wanted him to get up. We are appalled at the lack of compassion and empathy toward someone who can speak up due his age and physical limitations. We will not be back to a place who doesn’t treat people with dignity and respect.
We have been going to Gabriel’s for years, and the service was good. My family was there for Mother’s Day brunch. My father, who is elderly, was sitting in one of the empty chairs by an empty table on the outside patio (the table had been empty for over 15 minutes). After sitting other guess by the patio, Gabriel approached him very rudely and told him he needed to get up. As my father was getting up and trying to say something, Gabriel told him, “YOU NEED TO MOVE NOW.” A family walking out from the side noticed and helped my father, bringing this to our attention. I understand it was a busy day, however this is not how you treat customers or people in general. Additionally, were a party of 11. When the bill came, I asked if the tip was included (3 times), and the waiter responded no. We received the hand written copy of what we order with no prices on the side just a total on the back written with ink. Mind you, I had been there 2 weeks prior with 12 people, and the bill included the tip and was far less than what we were charged during this visit. We did not order anything extravagant with the only difference that we had more kids this time that order cheaper items. The food was okay; the service was slow, and we had to keep asking the busboy or other employees for basic things such as napkins, sugar, cream, etc.
Just left the restaurant for Mother’s Day. The reason for my 1 star is because I witness the poor treatment towards a handicapped, older Hispanic gentleman coming from the owner. I understand that it is a busy day and you want to turn tables fast but screaming at your customers to hurry up and get up is completely unprofessional. The situation could have been handled better. I was appalled. The gentleman was getting up, he just couldn’t do it fast enough. I cannot support this treatment or business
Great place for breakfast and lunch, long well established business, highly recommended!
If you’re looking for some hometown cooking , this is the place to go! Great country atmosphere and the food is delicious. My favorites are the eggs Benedict and chef salad . They’re so good I forget to take a photo !
