Very beautiful country inn that has been transformed into a real wellness paradise. Very nice new rooms, two separate wellness areas, massages and not even a good kitchen leave little to be desired. The service staff was always super friendly. However, there was a no go: if I want to run a wellness paradise like this and advertise a number of additional services, then in 2024 it will simply no longer be possible for me to explain why only cash and EC card payments are accepted, we don't have this card abroad and I'm dragging my feet I don't like to carry over €1000 in cash with me just because the innkeeper doesn't get proper conditions from his bank for card payments there are countless alternatives for that today. We were able to spend 7 days here over New Year's Eve, thank you very much for this time! It was a wonderful stay, a wellness hotel that leaves nothing to be desired!!! For us 5 stars! Everything is very clean, no wish is left unfulfilled, the pools are well maintained and in top condition. Drinks are provided in the SPA areas, despite the constant use by the guests, it is always tidy and well maintained! Our daughters felt very comfortable here, as did we. We also spent a lot of time at the table football, Table tennis, etc., everything is intact and well maintained, just great! The entire team is attentive and courteous, our room was always tidy and cleaned, we felt super comfortable and welcome! The hosts make the stay something very special, several generations work together here and complement each other perfectly, you can feel exactly how much passion there is in this hotel! We were warmly welcomed and provided with drinks by the boss. Our room, inn, was super big and we were thrilled. All the equipment is new and tasteful. The food is simply excellent and is prepared and served with a lot of love. The staff does a great job! The breakfast also leaves nothing to be desired, it is fresh and always well stocked! The food is freshly prepared and every wish is fulfilled! The kitchen here also deserves 5 stars! Thank you for the wonderful holiday, what can I say, we'll be back! Had reservations for a birthday lunch. Unfortunately only the bistro next to the reception was open. When we arrived, it was more important to the receptionist to take photos of 3 ladies than to greet us briefly. Although announced as a birthday, the candles provided were only lit after a warning. The longer wait for food was neither pointed out nor bridged with small snacks. There was also no indication of the non-functioning mobile network, which could be bridged with WLAN. Shortly before Christmas we stayed at the Sternwirt for a few days to relax from the Christmas stress and felt very comfortable. We almost didn't get to the hotel with the bus on a Sunday, so we called and asked the hotel if we could be picked up a few towns away. This was confirmed without much discussion a great gesture. We finally caught the bus and didn't need to be picked up by the hotel. Called again and it wasn't an issue at all and the junior manager understood us. We found that really great and uncomplicated. Especially because it was a bit of a back and forth on our part and I don't think a pick up service is offered as standard. The spontaneous offer of help was great! We found the food very tasty and a great mix of traditional Franconian or Upper Palatinate ? cuisine and more modern, light creations. We recommend. The wine selection is also great and goes well with some of the dishes that I ate as part of the half board. We personally found the senior manager particularly cool because she always tried so hard to ensure that we didn't miss anything at breakfast. We always came to breakfast last but of course still within the time frame and she still offered to refill something at the buffet, even though there was still enough for us. Totally lovely. You can also exchange a few interested and nice words with her, just like with the senior partner. Very nice people who make it clear that they care about their inn and hotel as well as their guests. : But the other employees and the junior manager were also very friendly and helped us in every matter. The location of the hotel and the view from the SkySpa are very beautiful and idyllic. You don't hear any motorway and you can really relax and unwind. Despite the remoteness, it is possible to reach the hotel in 45 minutes from Nuremberg main station at specific times. Short hikes can also be easily carried out from the hotel. I visited the Lichtenegg castle ruins and several other circular hikes also pass the hotel. There is also a great indoor play area for children, even with a slide!!! You can tell throughout the whole house, but especially in the new building, that thought has been put into this and with attention to detail a modern hotel has been created in which everyone can feel comfortable young and old . I only gave the room 4 stars because, despite airing, condensation came from the window onto the window sill and I then had to wipe it away a few times. Maybe you could take a look at the window, it didn't occur to me to say while I was walking. Overall, a very nice stay, nice wellness area, very clean, nice people and great food that is very digestible. Will definitely come back!
