Contribuiți la feedbackWe absolutely love this restaurant! My husband keeps raving about how incredible the steak sandwich is. I've always had a penchant for a great sandwich myself. The service here is consistently friendly and efficient.
My wife and I went out for dinner after watching the play "1776" in the villages. We both ordered the Veal Cutlet Marsala, which was prepared in a deliciously sweet sauce and served in generous portions. Each dish came with two sides, and we chose the Sweet Potato Casserole and Creamed Spinach, both of which were excellent. For dessert, we tried the She Crab Soup, but it was quite salty and didn't have any pieces of crab meat. At $8.00 for a small flat bowl, I expected it to be better. Overall, though, we had an outstanding dining experience.
I have always had a fondness for restaurants situated in houses, and this one was no exception. As we approached the entrance, the aroma of the smoker filled the air, making our mouths water in anticipation. Inside, the hardwood floors added a lovely touch to the atmosphere. The ribs we ordered were succulent and practically fell off the bone. The pasta salad and coleslaw were also delightful. My husband opted for the smoked mullet dinner and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff was attentive, making sure we were satisfied with our meal. Danny noticed our interest in the smoker and kindly opened it up for us after dinner, sharing that it can accommodate up to 500 pounds of meat at once. He also mentioned that he handles the fish preparation for the restaurant. Additionally, he pointed out a stage that is being built in the front yard, with picnic tables planned to be added nearby. It was nice to see several people gathered on the front porch of the Plantation House, creating a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere for dining.
This place is a charming old house that might make you question whether it's actually a restaurant, but it definitely is, and the food is quite good. It's essentially a sandwich shop. They were out of pulled pork, so I opted for a BBQ beef sandwich served on Texas toast. My partner chose a foot-long sub with ham, roast beef, and cheese. Both sandwiches were decent and made with quality ingredients. The beef was more like sliced meat with BBQ sauce rather than smoked, but it was still tasty, and both sandwiches had a generous amount of meat. They didn’t come with sides, so you’ll need to ask if you want them included. I also tried a homemade brownie for just $1, and it was outstanding. I would definitely come back—the service was good, the prices were reasonable, and the house itself had a charming, old-world feel. The grounds were beautiful, with many ancient oak trees surrounding the property.
This is a fantastic little spot located near the Webster Flea Market, and the food is truly top-notch. The atmosphere is just okay, but the service is quick, friendly, and attentive. I tried the pulled pork sandwich, and I was initially concerned when I noticed the sauce was mustard-colored instead of red. However, it turned out to be an amazing blend of flavors. The bread was fresh, and the crust was wonderfully crispy—just how I like it. The meal comes with two sides, and I chose cucumber salad and pasta salad, both of which were delicious. With an iced tea, a sandwich, two sides, and a tip, my total was under $10. Highly recommended!
