Castaways On The Lake - Webster

We enjoyed our dinner on the deck with the absolutely beautiful view. The staff was super friendly and very accommodating and although we came to a top time on Saturday night, we almost sat immediately. The food was very good and the drinks were delicious. We didn't have to wait too long until our food comes, although they were pretty busy with a few big parties from people there at the same time. It was somewhat pricier and less of a selection of foods when we thought we saw online before we came, but with the exception of a few picky teenagers who were too old for the children's menu, we were all able to find something we loved.

We encountered a bit of a wait on Friday night due to a high volume of call-ins, but it was reasonable—about 35 minutes. The chef even assisted with seating and was very friendly, keeping us updated on our wait time. Once we were seated, our waitress and the cook quickly took our drink orders and our meal orders within minutes. They were fantastic, consistently checking in with us and informing us about when our food would be ready. The meal was absolutely delicious, and we were able to enjoy a stunning sunset. It's the only restaurant on Lake Ontario in the Monroe district, and I would definitely come back.

Absolutely amazing! I dined at Castaways for dinner, and everything was fantastic. The food was delicious—I ordered the honey buffalo shrimp as an appetizer, and it was incredibly good! My entire dinner was great, from the scallops to the two sides I chose. I definitely feel like I got my money's worth. My server, Christine, was wonderful, telling me about their world-famous key lime pie. Let me just say, she was not joking about that!

My mother and I chose to visit this restaurant, and we thoroughly enjoyed both the food and the beautiful view. The hot shrimp bath was absolutely delicious! I had the lobster roll, while my mother ordered the crab cake and squid in lemon butter. Everything was fantastic. Our waitress, Makayla (I hope I spelled that correctly), was incredibly attentive and friendly!

The view is absolutely stunning. Truly is. The food was very good. I only took a star away because I felt they could've handled the list of reservations and wait listed people well. We were really patient because I know the waitresses were really overwhelmed, but we waited for over 3 hours before getting a table. That is the longest I've ever waited anywhere. And I love in NYC, where things are busy every day. But again, that said, once seated, it was an extremely enjoyable experience with amazing service. Dispute the wait, thank you for the great night. Special shout out to our waitress Michaela (I know that's not how she spells it, but I can't remember how she told us it was actually spelled).
