Weber's Front Row - Webster Groves

We stopped by this restaurant after the opera, as we have done for years. I ordered the roast beef sandwich with double meat and coleslaw, and it was delicious. My wife had the grilled chicken with the best potatoes she's ever had. The bartender/server (who may be the owner) was a bit gruff but really nice and efficient. The atmosphere is straightforward, with a simple yet interesting menu. Although we ate inside, outdoor seating is available. We have three more operas to attend this summer and plan to come back at least once or twice.

I recently dined at this restaurant for the first time with some friends. Upon entering, we were greeted by an unfriendly bartender with blue hair. The Texas Twinkies (jalapeno poppers) we ordered were disappointing. Our server brought out utensils, napkins, and claimed to have also brought knives but never did. One person ordered the chicken spiedini on the server's recommendation, while the other two ordered grilled tuna. I usually prefer my tuna cooked medium, but when it arrived, it was overcooked and resembled a hockey puck. When I asked the waiter about it, he explained that the kitchen only cooks it well-done, without offering to make it differently or suggest an alternative. The steamed broccoli and white sauce pasta were the only highlights of the meal. Overall, I was not impressed with the food or service and do not plan on returning to this restaurant.

Daniel was a friendly bartender who also served us. The food was incredible - I had the club sandwich with a delicious patty that melted in my mouth. The server, who I assume was the daughter of the woman celebrating her birthday, created a great atmosphere for us. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

Always a great atmosphere, wonderful food,and pleasant staff!......We will be back!!!

Chaser salad is excellent. Chilli was good. Good service. A great place for lunch on a long drive through. Ask for local beer.
