The Village Shop Cafe - Wealden

Had to get to Ringmer for an appointment, so googled somewhere on the way, for a breakfast treat. Randomly picked but what a treat it was! The chap behind the counter was funny, friendly and super helpful. I wanted to work there by the end of our visit! Busy, quaint, great food, good choice, reasonable prices. Parking, a bit scary. Would definitely recommend will be visiting again.

We went for brunch on the Saturday and it was very busy as they do takeaway too. Sat outside in the lovely sunshine so not a problem we had to wait a bit longer than usual. When we went back on the Monday it was much quieter so it was quicker service. But the food was fantastic. I did a build a brunch both days, with black pudding, eggs, sausage, bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms and yummy bubble and squeak. Loads more on offer too!

Lovely food lovely staff spoiled by the gentleman at the counter who was extremely rude to all the school children from the local school who were very well behaved. Seems to want to pick his clients which are only the locals . Strange way to do business

We loved it so much here that we visited twice in one day! We are on holiday for a few days and it was recommended to us. Dan greeted us in his unique, funny and friendly style. We felt so welcome! We had gluten free coffee cake mid-morning and returned for a late lunch in the afternoon. My husband had home made leek potato soup platter which came with a gluten free cheese toastie and salad (it was huge! and I had halloumi, avocado and pesto salad (which was also huge! and we ate every scrap. We also had wine and cider. The shop part is also fab. We bought gluten free biscuits and fresh veg. They sell all sorts of useful things. Thanks for brightening our holiday Dan!

Excellent. Staff really entertaining and good cafe food. Always busy and but pleasant to see friendly service and nothing was a problem. Highly recommended
