Dough Boys Pizza - Waynesville

This spot is a hidden gem, perfect for beer lovers and pizza aficionados like us. It’s tucked away behind Main Street, next to Bogart's restaurant. At first glance, it might not look like much, but I was pleasantly surprised. There’s parking available in front and across the street. Upon entering, you line up at the bar to order drinks and food. The bar is long with plenty of seating options available. They offer an impressive selection of 50 craft beers, all displayed on a large chalkboard. The seating arrangements include long and short picnic-style tables, smaller tables for two, and even a cozy area with couches and TVs. One of the coolest features is the open kitchen, where you can watch the pizzas being made. After you place your order, you find a spot, and they give you a number to display so they can deliver your food to you. Now, onto the main event: the food! The star of the show was undeniably the pizza, which was simply fabulous—delicious and incredibly satisfying! I used to love Frankie's, but Dough Boys has raised the bar significantly. We ordered the Black Balsam specialty pizza, which arrived neatly cut in the box, allowing us to enjoy it for breakfast the next morning! How clever is that? The pizza was classic New York style, featuring a fantastic crust, flavorful sauce, and generous toppings—all for a very reasonable price of $23. We also tried the Cleopatra specialty salad, which I would describe as a Caesar salad but even better. We devoured it alongside the wonderful pizza. Oh, and I can’t forget to mention that the beer was cold and refreshing. We had such a great experience that we ended up returning for a second visit before heading back to Michigan. I just wish Dough Boys would open a location near us! The staff were incredibly friendly and really knew how to make guests feel welcome.

The wings were amazing! They were cooked to perfection and the ranch and blue cheese were great complements. The fresh mozzarella was delicious, clearly homemade rather than the usual frozen sticks you find at other places. They also have a fantastic selection of beers. I might come back before the end of our vacation to try the pizza!

This is the best pizza I've ever tasted. The crust is wonderfully thin and crispy. You can't make a bad choice with any of the specialty pizzas. Don't miss out on the mixed fry basket—it's a must-try. The ranch dressing is absolutely delicious, and the salads are fresh and generously sized!

I love this place! Josh the bartender beer server was awesome. Very friendly professional. The beer selection is really super and a wide selection of really good craft beers. The pizza was delicious! The salad too. FIVE STARS!! Definitely!

OMG where to begin!! First time eating here and so grateful we found this place. We ordered the Buffalo chicken tenders as appetizers and that is the best Buffalo sauce we've ever had- its homemade! Second, the pizzas were freshly made and you caneven watch the kitchen do their magic. They really work hard back there. Thank you guys! Third, they have a variety of beer andwine selection. I had the blueberry blonde and it was delicious. Customer service and cleanliness of the restaurant were onpoint. Amazing atmosphere as well. I would have meetings, gatherings, etc. here. This is a place I will come eat at every timewe visit the Waynesville area.
