The wayne (New jersey) location of dunkin is pathetic. I went today morning. The person taking the order was so slow.. everyone in the line was getting furious. Not only that, he literally asked my order 3 times. I went with my husband and we mentioned thecoffee to be hot and he acknowledged it. When the coffee came, it was next to normal temperature (not even lukewarm). We askedhim to heat it (politely) and that guy transferred the coffee in a utensil and put the utensil under that machine and hecompletely forgot. I could see it's done and we had to wait for another 5 mins until my husband told him that there is somethingseriously wrong with that guy and they can keep the coffee. We also ordered an everything bagel (didn't enjoy at all). Not onlythat, the customers ordering behind us were also agitated and we saw them arguing before we left. We actually went to Dunkin toenjoy our coffee also because it was National Coffee day but worst experience. My husband was a regular dunkin customer back inBoston and it was way better. This one was just a waste.
Absolutely dreadful experience. While placing our order in the drive-thru, the employee kept interrupting us to speak with someone else. Once we reached the window, they asked us to repeat our order, completely oblivious to what we had just requested at the speaker. I specifically ordered a toasted white chocolate latte with almond milk, but what I received was just a cup of milk with chocolate syrup. It seems they interpreted my request for almond milk as wanting no coffee at all. Unbelievable! We also ordered three doughnuts, and they asked us nearly five times which ones we wanted. This was the worst Dunkin' experience I've ever had—avoid this location at all costs!
It's a Dunkin', so you know what you're getting. Think of it as the McDonald's of breakfast pastry shops. Their donuts are decent but nothing special—still, they're dependable. My kid enjoys them, so we keep coming back. The staff is great and definitely deserves a raise. I've been impressed by how calm they remain when dealing with difficult customers; it's astonishing. I mean, who gets upset about being handed donuts? That said, they're often understaffed and juggling multiple tasks at once. Honestly, they need to be compensated better for their hard work.
I will not be returning to this location anytime soon. I stopped by today at 4:00 p.m. and waited for 10 minutes in the drive-thru, only to discover that there were no employees inside. I was not alone in my frustration; I saw 12 other cars having the same experience. The employees-only back door was wide open, yet there were no staff members anywhere to be found. What kind of establishment operates like this, with an open back door and a sign on the front saying "door broken, please use drive-thru"?
