Claiborne Hill Supermarket - Waveland

This restaurant offers excellent deli-prepared foods and a wide variety of items across all categories, including some fantastic discounts on sale items and very reasonable regular prices, especially for a two-store chain. (Wake up, Rouses!) I visited tonight to take advantage of some sales and had my printed list in hand. However, contrary to what I thought I understood, things didn't go as smoothly as I expected. Fortunately, Debbie, one of the managers, was outstanding! She spent about 20 to 25 minutes patiently helping me set up their app on my phone and explained each step along the way. It was truly the BEST customer service experience I've ever had anywhere! I've had an iPhone for 8 to 10 years, primarily using it just for calls while traveling and some simple tasks with Siri. That’s all I ever intended to do with it (I'm not keen on being one of those people who walk into poles or stumble off curbs because they're glued to their phones, though they can be quite amusing). I guess it’s time for this old dog to learn some new tricks. Thank you, Debbie—you are AMAZING!

The restaurant offers a great variety of food options. They serve frozen gumbo and homemade soups, and the French bread is outstanding.

The staff here is friendly, and the store is clean. However, their phone app could use some improvements. If you enjoy beer, they have the finest selection of local craft brews in town. Don't miss out on their special Parish releases! I really appreciate not having to drive all the way to Broussard! The highlight of this place is definitely their ready-made deli food, which is truly exceptional and even better than what you'll find in many restaurants. Their coleslaw is the best I've ever tasted. Just a heads up, though—it's best to steer clear of the clearance bins, as well as the produce and meat sections, as well as non-sale items.
