Ropa's Chicago Style Pizza - Wausau

I visited Ropa's for the first time tonight, and it was a fantastic experience. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was really nice, and the garlic bread was excellent. I will definitely be returning!

We were on the hunt for a new pizza spot after our favorite closed, but unfortunately, this isn’t the one. The food was bland and overpriced. The pan pizza was thin and lacked toppings, resembling more of a foldable New York style. The Alfredo sauce was watery, with no hint of parmesan, garlic, or butter—honestly, Stouffer's frozen meals are better. The tiramisu was disappointing too, consisting of just three layers of ladyfingers with chocolate frosting in between. It’s the first time I’ve ever had to throw tiramisu in the trash. I really wish I could get my money back.

My husband and I were feeling hungry and decided to try a new place. We waited about 30 minutes for our large deep-dish pizza, and it was absolutely worth it! It seems like they mainly do takeout or delivery, so they provided us with paper plates and plastic utensils. However, we just sat down and enjoyed our meal straight from the box. The pizza was incredible—super hot and delicious! It’s definitely the best I’ve had around here. We also ordered a salad, which was good, but the pizza was the star of the show. The service was excellent too; the staff was very attentive and even checked in to see if we enjoyed the pizza during our meal. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much, Ropa! 100% recommend!
