Fish & Chippery - WATSONS BAY

We ordered and paid for 2 pots of peppermint tea for a total of $9. First we were told there was no peppermint so we could choose from other selections. I said I didn't like any of the others and miraculously peppermint was found. I asked for a kettle to be boiled rather than using tepid water from the coffee machine. I was told everywhere in the world you use 90 degree water not boiling water to brew tea. Wrong - it was tasteless and cold. A couple waiting for coffee had overheard the conversation and told us their coffee was cold and I was right to have asked for boiling water, reinforced when I brewed tea from the same teabags at home using boiling water and it was very good. Why do restaurants believe they know better?

This place is really really crowded and even the takeaway line is long but it is definitely worth the wait. I love their packaging and this is perfect for picnic along Watsons bay.

This place is the perfect summer spot! Decor and ambience is perfect.
