The Great Escape Ice Cream Parlor

I decided to go with the chocolate peanut butter flavor with peanut butter sauce. However, I found that I mostly just ate the peanut butter sauce as the ice cream itself was lacking in flavor. It wasn't terrible, but I have definitely had better vegan ice cream elsewhere. Overall, I felt like something was missing from the ice cream. In the end, I would recommend going to the nearby Ben & Jerry's for a safer bet when looking for vegan ice cream options.

I tried the vegan ice cream at this restaurant, but I was disappointed. The texture was a bit too icy and there was a hard ribbon of peanut butter in it. It was a nice treat on a hot day, but I believe you can find better vegan ice cream options in most grocery stores (although not much at Topps, but that's a different story).

I ordered a small serving (1/2 scoop each) of two flavors: coconut lavender blueberry and chocolate peanut butter. It was perfect. They not only offer a variety of vegan toppings, but also specify the non-dairy base for each of their vegan ice cream flavors, all of which are made in-house. Additionally, they have vegan and gluten-free cones available. I felt like a child again in the most delightful way. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was nostalgic, and it's definitely worth a visit. (Reviewed on 2022-09-18)

We have been really pleased with Watkins glens’s surprising variety of vegan options- and this was our regular go to for ice cream. They had two great vegan soy choices each night we went- and even more amazing I ordered a vegan ice cream cake a few days in advance. The owners are very accommodating and made us something super special. Can’t wait to vacation here next year.

They have a hard chocolate peanut butter as well as the vanilla cookie chip. Don’t bother with the vanilla cookie flavorless and watery consistency. The chocolate peanut butter was good but it had very little peanut butter. It was really just chocolate ice cream. I asked for chocolate syrup, choc sprinkles and mini chocolate chips to make a mini vegan sundae. They didn’t have any vegan baked dessert options because they said those come from a local vendor and they don’t know what they will get. And to the previous reviewer: YES THEY ADDED YOUR HAPPY COW STICKER!
