Michael's Fine Food Spirits

Michael's catered our wedding reception for around 100 guests, and the food was absolutely wonderful! The quality of the food was exceptional. We had a tasting session with them beforehand, and Stephanie, the coordinator, was very attentive and made sure all of our needs were taken care of. Michael, the owner, was also very kind and made sure everything ran smoothly during the reception. Communication with them was easy and they were very accommodating to any allergies we had. They offered a variety of meats, vegetarian, and vegan options, and the catering chef was very knowledgeable about all the options. One of my biggest concerns with catering for weddings is that the food can sometimes be dry and not fresh, but that was not the case with Michael's. They ensured that the food was always fresh, high quality, and moist. Our guests loved the food, and so did we. Fun fact: Michael's has been catering for local colleges for years, serving millionaires and billionaires at reunions. If they love Michael's, then you know you're in good hands! LOL.

I wanted to enjoy, but was very disappointed! Two hours (2) to get our food. Yes, two hours! Staff was nice, however they only attended table upon request. Could be a great place, no Managment in the house. They botched reservations, gas lighted my wife, however we were hopeful. Come on! Don’t make your problem our problem when it comes to making a meal and delivering our food. No excuse, we paid you for Service we did not receive. Manage, don’t over book tables, help staff, and be the place you could. I don’t usually (or ever) give one star today I must. Step up crew, or shut down. Very sad experience.

Wonderful place, they have taken my number one spot for chicken riggies, the chicken shredded perfectly and the sauce was amazing. Atmosphere was very nice, overall a great experience here, have nothing but good thoughts about here. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50

Michael’s Catering came highly-recommended from our venue coordinator. The food and bar services are some of the most important of any large event, so there was a lot of discussion around these for our wedding. What closed the deal for us was the tasting at Michael’s restaurant in Waterville, NY. The food was incredible and the other options we’d been considering no longer mattered. The quality of the food was not the only reason we went with Michael’s. The logistical tasks of renting everything needed to serve our guests dinner, bringing it to the venue, and cleaning it up afterwards was handled for us. All we had to do was pick the colors for the linens! On the day of our wedding, we had Bridget as our coordinator and she ensured everything was running smoothly, checking in with us and she even brought us a plate of our hors d'oeuvres we hadn’t gotten to taste yet. The only issue we had with Michael's was overall communication leading up to the wedding day. There were times when we wouldn’t hear from the coordinator, Stephanie, for weeks after sending email communications. We recognize that their business is very busy during wedding season, but didn’t feel like we were made a priority until the last few weeks leading up to our wedding and it left us feeling rushed and stressed when we made every effort to be proactive. Luckily, everything turned out great despite these hiccups and the sometimes-confusing communication.
