Sakura Japanese Steak House - Watertown

Ordered the 3 sushi roll lunch special with miso soup. The sushi was ok, but the miso soup was 1/4 way full and cold. I live 5 minutes away from the restaurant and waited inside for it to be finished, so there’s no reason it should be cold. The people hosting are also not very friendly! Terribly disappointed- my previous experiences have all be great so I was really looking forward to tonight’s order. The static on the phone had more personality than the american girl at the register. My order wasn’t hard yet somehow everything except the side salad was messed up. I was charged for 2 rolls when I went back in to have them correct it the female didn’t listen or understand and messed up the order further- FINALLY, after spelling out for the 8th time what the error was they refunded the for that item, what a procedure it was for them! Then we get home to find out even more was wrong but we were so hungry we didn’t bother to go back- again! The godzilla roll tasted like week old fish and I immediately got nauseous. The steak was over cooked and chicken was like a hockey puck. My wife ordered beef fried rice and hers came w/ NO BEEF, Her spicy tuna roll was just tuna (again tasting old) my rice had more egg in it than rice- the vegetables were terribly undercooked and old. The level of disappointment is a new low. I think maybe all the static interfered w/ order being taken correctly but what’s the excuse for the terrible food! We will now be looking for a new spot to treat ourselves.

This restaurant is fantastic! It never disappoints. The staff is fantastic and the food is always excellent, even during peak times. They do a great job of keeping you entertained while you wait. Overall, I would give the food, service, and atmosphere a perfect score of 5.
