Balkan Cafe Grocery - Waterloo

The wife and I made a day trip to Waterloo and as always we were looking to eat at local restaurants. We tried the Balkan Café and it was very enjoyable. The food was very inexpensive for the quality and and quantity, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating to folks unfamiliar with Balkan food. We even had an informative and interesting conversation about how the owners got to Waterloo. We ordered way too much food, but had great snacks on the way back. A nice litte store too, and we picked up several soups and other goodies to take back with us. If I ever go back to Waterloo again I will certainly eat there again.

Very good food. Great service. I'll definitely make a habit of stopping by every time I go through Waterloo.

I enjoyed the Cevapi! They also had a good selection of teas.

Great Balkan cuisine. Staff/owners were friendly and helpful. The chicken-shawarma was great, can't wait to try the bush.
