Contribuiți la feedbackThis is the top sushi restaurant! The staff was exceptional and very knowledgeable about the menu. They went out of their way to accommodate my friend’s celiac disease, always reminding us of gluten-free options. Our waiter was impressive. The food was outstanding. Overall ratings: Dine in experience - 5, Dinner - 5, Service - 5, Atmosphere - 5.
Unfortunately, my experience at SWING and a MISS was extremely disappointing. I was excited to try this place, having lived in the area for over 40 years and on Long Island for my entire life. The hostess was pleasant, but the service was incredibly slow. Despite the empty tables and few customers, our food took far too long to arrive. After multiple delays and excuses, we decided to leave without even receiving our order. The lack of a manager on duty only added to the frustration. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Save yourself the hassle and find another dining option. Goodbye, SWING and a MISS.
I have visited nearly every upscale sushi restaurant on the East Coast, and I can confidently say that Kissaki is one of the worst. Despite the high prices, the sushi was not exceptional and everything was overly sauced. While the fish quality was decent, it was nothing special and the cooked dishes arrived cold. I would recommend saving your money and dining elsewhere.
Let's get straight to the point - considering the price, one would expect everything to be good at the very least. Unfortunately, everything we ordered, with the exception of the spicy cucumber salad, was completely lacking in flavor. From the fluke crudo to the spicy tuna roll to the nigiri tuna sushi that contained a whole almond nestled between the rice and fish, there was a noticeable absence of taste. The addition of shiitake mushroom and an almond on the $16 piece of fish may have been an attempt to elevate the dish, but it fell short. I suggest saving your money and visiting Nobu once you return to the city. The bill will be comparable, but the dining experience will be far superior.
The menu is quite small compared to other sushi restaurants, with limited options. I attempted to sit at the empty sushi bar, but was informed that it was only available for Omakase at $200 per person. Despite this, the sushi bar remained empty even after my meal, which did not make sense to me.
