Chinese Cafe And - Washougal

Fantastic Chinese food—truly the best around! I travel from Fairview, Oregon, all the way to Washougal just for this amazing cuisine!

I'm unsure how I feel about this restaurant. The staff was friendly and the service was good, but the food left me feeling a bit off. The atmosphere was somewhat deserted and had a slightly haunted vibe—it was definitely a unique experience. Overall, it was quite mediocre. While you get a lot of food for the price, the quality just wasn’t impressive. It felt like the restaurant didn’t live up to what the website advertised.

I visited this restaurant for lunch with a friend, and since it was my first time there, I was eager to try it out. I was pleasantly surprised by my experience. The lunch specials were reasonably priced and offered generous portions. Each meal came with an egg roll and a crab Rangoon, both of which were delicious. I ordered the Kung Pao chicken, and it was fantastic! My friend chose the green beans and shrimp, and I really enjoyed her dish as well; I might opt for that next time. The lunch also included a choice of hot and sour or egg drop soup. The place was very clean, and the service was impeccable. Overall, it’s definitely a spot worth visiting for a meal. It seemed like they had a thriving takeout business as well.

You won 't get outstanding Chinese food, but they have decent lunch specials and you can taste the wok-hei that the stir fry 's are cooked with. With the inflation prices, you can get a big portion of lunch special with a hot sour or egg drop soup for a decent price. I ordered the shrimp and green beans lunch special and it comes with a spring roll, 2 crab rangoons, and a huge scoop of fried rice. My friend had the kung pao chicken that she requested a little spicy and it was really tasty! Would definitely come back for lunch specials Thanks for the excellent service!

We were excited to try the Chinese Cafe but came away with mixed reviews. We ordered from the yelp app, and I'm not sure that was the best choice. Next time I will call directly and order. We really liked our combo meals with pork fried rice, wontons, and the main dish. We weren't wild about the orange chicken, it didn't have much flavor, and we didn't notice any orange flavor at all; maybe we were given a different entree?
