The first time I went to Sakuramen I overestimated my ability to handle spicy things and ordered a spice level way beyond my capabilities.
Came here on a Saturday for lunch and didn't have to wait more than 5 minutes to be seated, even though it was packed.
My favorite ramen spot in DC. This hidden gem is tucked underground. Easy to miss but definitely worth the hunt. Food service is lightning fast. I rarely wait over 15 minutes to be seated on a busier day, they’ll open their second floor on occasion! Their Gojiramen is my personal favorite but their Tonkotsu Mild Ramen is delicious too. I think their ramen is perfectly portioned, however, their appetizers are meager in size and relatively expensive. The pork chashu buns are worth a try if you’re looking to splurge. Grocery store mochi.Little to no parking unless you’re looking to pay equal to a second bowl of ramen in the nearby garage. A fifteen minute walk from Adams Morgan and U Street metro stations, but I don’t mind the walk personally.
Very, very good ramen. I really only go to DC on business and stumbled across this place while walking around the hotel. Was so happy I tried it out. Best ramen I've had in a while, very good service, cool ambiance, will absolutely be back.Food: 5/5
